Would you attend a fibromyalgia support group and why? Take this short poll

Alternative treatment modalities for fibromyalgia:

There are numerous alternative treatment modalities for fibromyalgia, none of which are tried and true. All of these modalities are suggested to provide some symptom relief; and if you look for them, you will find people who swear by them.
I am not sure about any of these, but I am sure of this: you have to search for what works best for you, and everyone seems to be different. That being said, until you can say you have tried all of these methods of treatment, you can’t say you tried everything.
These are just a quick glance and are in no particular order.
Acupressure: Pressure applied to specific “acupoint” areas to restore bodily balance and wellness by reducing pain, fatigue, IBS, headaches, etc.
Acupuncture: Needles inserted in specific “acupoint” areas to restore bodily balance and wellness by reducing pain, fatigue, IBS, headaches, etc.
Aromatherapy: Inhaling essential oils to promote psychological and physical wellness. Different scents promote a different response. Scents travel to the brain; causing the release of neurotransmitters that affect mood, pain, fatigue, depression, etc.
Aquatic Therapy: Swimming that promotes wellness. Improves self-opinion, mood and symptoms of fibro.
Biofeedback: Influential feedback that reduces symptoms with the aid of willpower. A machine records electrical impulses from your brain as muscle twitches, temperature, and brainwaves. The machine sends these impulses back to you in the form of beeps and lights, overall relaxing the body and reducing symptoms.
Chelation: The removal of toxins from the body as a cleansing process through infusions.
Chiropractic: Spinal adjustment that promotes wellness and reduces symptoms.
Cranial Sacral: The use of palpation to restore wellness and reduce symptoms. The cranial sacral system includes the manipulation of cerebrospinal fluid through palpation, restoring cranial sacral rhythmic impulses.
Cupping: The use of actual cups on the skin that remove toxins, reduce symptoms, and restore health. Suction and heat are used in the cups on acupoints around the body to stimulate circulation and reduce muscle aches.
Focused Breathing: Focused, timed breathing that allows for the perception of reduced pain.
Hydrotherapy: The use of water therapy in various ways to promote circulation and reduce pain.
Hypnosis: The mental process of achieving a more controlled state of focus where you access the subconscious mind, and through relaxation and suggestion you influence behaviors that lead to pain or other symptoms etc.
Light Therapy: The use of light to reduce many symptoms. The body’s circadian rhythm can be influenced by light that promotes the release of neurotransmitters that can restore the circadian rhythm, increasing energy levels, and reduce symptoms.
Magnet Therapy: The use of magnets in different forms that use energy currents to promote wellness. Some people wear magnet jewelry to reduce many symptoms.
Massage: Manipulation of muscles and soft tissue to promote relaxation and reduce pain.
Meditation: A process that leads to a relaxed state of consciousness. It is distraction free, unbroken concentration on the end result-in this case pain or symptom relief. Since everything in your body is relative to everything else, your mind can control your body to some degree.
Neurofeedback: To gain conscious control over brainwaves. A machine measures brainwaves and you are asked to try to control your brainwaves, which in turn provide positive or negative feedback to you, which leads to your brain learning to create new, healthier brainwaves.
Qigong: Is exercise with meditation that increases the body’s energy and leads to wellness through promoting the immune system. Qigong helps you to center your mind and reduce many symptoms.
Reflexology: Similar to acupuncture and acupressure, in that it is a form of massage that works to heal the deeper parts of the body through manipulating acupoints.
Reiki: Reiki means universal life energy. Involves running the hands on the skin, or just above the skin to promote wellness. It can reduce pain, fatigue, and depression.
Relaxation: The simple process of learning to relax, reducing the effects of stress.
Sound Therapy: Low frequency sound promotes healing. The sound travels through your body and can reduce symptoms like pain, inflammation, and fatigue.
Tai Chi: Aerobic exercise that promotes health through balance, coordination, and flexibility.
TENS: Therapeutic electrical current from a machine to the body. Two electrodes are attached at the pain site and stimulate the nerves. Nerves stimulated this way can block endorphins, reducing pain.
Trigger Point Injections: Trigger points are typically very sensitive areas on the body. Injections of medicine like anesthetic and corticosteroids alleviate pain in these areas.
Watsu: Is water relaxation therapy based on the connection of the mind, body, breath principle, which leads to the stimulation of positive energy.
Yoga: Relaxation exercise involving the mind, body, and spirit, which promotes wellness.
